JACKSON
Fight for Jackson is more than a campaign. It's a movement of residents who believe our township deserves honest leadership, responsible government, and elected officials who answer to the people.
Our team is committed to putting Jackson first by protecting our neighborhoods, protecting our environment, demanding transparency, spending taxpayer dollars responsibly, and ensuring our local government works for the people, not political insiders or special interests.
For too long, Jackson has been run with the same old politics, the same insiders, and the same way of doing business. We're not running to maintain the status quo. We're running to change it.
That's why Elliott Shem-Tov, Chris Pollak, and Amanda Trombetta came together under one mission: to fight for the future of Jackson.
We believe it's time to break the system that has failed our residents for too long. That means ending backroom politics, fighting irresponsible development, protecting our neighborhoods and environment, restoring accountability, and putting the people of Jackson first in every decision.
This isn't business as usual. This is a campaign built on the belief that government should serve the people, not the other way around.
It's time to break the machine. It's time to put Jackson first. It's time to Fight for Jackson.

TO FIGHT
Break the System
The same insiders and the same deals produce the same results. That ends now.
- End pay-to-play by leading by example and refusing money from anyone seeking to profit off our town
- Change leadership
- Hire new professionals
- Appoint new board members
We are not just changing people. We are changing the standards they are held to.
Responsible Development That Puts People and the Environment First
Growth must serve residents and protect our land, not outside profit.
- No to increasing density
- No to development in environmentally sensitive areas
- Make environmental review mandatory for every major project
- Increase environmental protections
- No more rubber-stamped approvals — major issues must be resolved before final approval is granted
- Construction transparency laws, so people can know what is being built and by whom
- Preserve land and open space by keeping the open space fund focused on purchasing and preserving land
- Prohibit data centers
If you are building in Jackson, you answer to the people of Jackson.
Fair and Equal Enforcement
The same rules apply to everyone. No selective enforcement.
- Fully fund, staff, and support our code and zoning enforcement
- Continue cracking down on overcrowded rentals
- Modernize our zoning code with clearly defined residential occupancy standards and objective enforcement criteria
- Get departments, administration, and council working together to tackle issues
No favorites. No exceptions.
Protect Our Residential Neighborhoods
Our neighborhoods are communities, not investment zones.
- Sensible buffers between residential homes and non-residential, high-impact uses
- Parking and site standards that prevent congestion and overcrowding
- Stronger oversight of how properties are used, not just how they are built
Ethics and Accountability
Integrity is the foundation of public service.
- We will sign a public pledge to refuse contributions from developers, professionals seeking contracts, applicants seeking approvals, and anyone looking to profit off our town
- An ethics commission with a real voice in our government
- Legislative accountability requiring every ordinance and resolution to clearly identify its sponsor or sponsors and include a plain-language explanation of the problem being addressed and the purpose of the proposal
If something cannot stand up to public scrutiny, it should not be approved in Jackson.
Honest Communication
Straight talk with residents, not propaganda.
- Hold real, open town halls with residents
- Change how interaction at council meetings is done to get real dialogue
Meetings designed to listen, understand, and act.
Professional and Fiscally Responsible Government
Respect for residents and for their tax dollars.
- Act responsibly and avoid unnecessary lawsuits
- Eliminate waste and unnecessary costs
- Review all positions, contracts, and spending
Every dollar must serve the people, not mistakes, mismanagement, or special interests.

Jackson is at a crossroads and the people in charge are failing us. Out-of-town investors are buying up our neighborhoods, illegal rentals are hurting our streets, and our schools are closing while insiders look the other way. I'm running to put residents first, protect homeownership, restore transparency, and make sure Jackson works for families, not developers or political insiders. It's time for leadership with backbone and a better future for our town.
